Zamorak, Lord of Chaos[1] is one of the major gods of RuneScape and the final boss of The Zamorakian Undercity. Originally a mortal Mahjarrat from the hazardous plane of Freneskae, he climbed through the ranks of the Zarosian Empire to become its highest-ranking general before dethroning Zaros with the Staff of Armadyl and ascending to godhood himself. This historic event ushered in the God Wars, throughout which he and the other gods who remained after Zaros' departure battled over Gielinor until Guthix woke from his slumber and banished the gods with the Edicts of Guthix. When the Edicts fell with Guthix's death, Zamorak was the second god to return to Gielinor after Saradomin.
